Carries 18 kg without complaint
Four days out with food and a rope and the hip belt took all of it. The stay is stiff enough that the load stays off the shoulders even when the pack is over-filled and the lid is floating.

The side zip is worth the weight
Being able to pull a stove out of the middle of the pack without emptying the top is the feature I would pay for again. Ripstop has taken granite and scree without a hole.

Long back length, so measure
At 44 cm the harness was still slightly long for me at the shortest setting. Rotating it on the page beforehand told me where the lumbar pad would land, which was more useful than the size chart.

Lid pocket is smaller than it looks
The pack is excellent. The lid pocket takes a hat and a map and then it is full — do not plan on it holding a camera.
